The Blogger Bonanza and you (and other news)

Hi Bloggers –

For the 40 to 50 of you who will be making the trek to FoolHQ tomorrow for the first ever TMF Blogger Bonanza, we’re looking forward to meeting you, and please travel safely as you make your way from destinations including Singapore, Argentina, and Alexandria, Va.! For everyone else, the blog team has been busy preparing the Bonanza and we’ll be preoccupied with it tomorrow, so expect significant delays in the review process. We have a new reviewer, Jamal, starting with us on Monday, so help is on the way! And if your post is time-sensitive, just send a note to blog@fool.com.

In other exciting news, we now have our very own TMF Chart Creator for you to add visual accompaniments to your posts. Here is an example/starting point (be sure to include a title or delete the placeholder at the top, otherwise we’ll have a lot of charts with You Can Add A Title Here as the title):

Also, we have a couple weeks remaining in the referral contest. Send us an email and cc: your smartest friends and family members by way of introductions, and then we’ll get them set up in the system. Every Editor’s Choice your referral gets through the end of August will earn you a shot at  a $1,000 bonus.

And finally, several of you have mentioned it would be nice to be able to talk with other bloggers about how to come up with story ideas, what seems to make for an Editor’s Choice, and how to organize a coup to oust me from control of the blogs. The Fool’s social media team has created a Facebook group just for you (we’re assuming most of you are already on FB).
