Hi Bloggers –

Congratulations to new blogger Frank Constantino, who was randomly selected from everyone who submitted a bio or avatar as part of our April challenge. He’s not only setting readers’ hearts aflutter with his photo, he’s also won $500! It’s too late for you to win, but it’s not too late to let your readers get to know you better. Email your 140-character bio to blog@fool.com and we’ll make that a part of your identity. And to add a picture or avatar, just go to https://www.fool.com/Account/SetAvatar.aspx.

For May, we’re going back to the Editor’s Choice challenge – each designation gets you an entry in a drawing for $500. Some tips to earning a coveted red icon: do original analysis, tell a story in a compelling way, read it aloud before you switch it to publish to make sure it sounds conversational, and have some fun with it!

Do you want to turn your Foolish writing into a full-time gig? The Fool is looking for a group of passionate, motivated writers interested in learning to write professionally and full-time about investing for distribution through our website and our business partners. The four-month position at FoolHQ will begin June 2012. Writers who complete the program successfully will be eligible to sign on as full-time self-employed contractors. Click here if you’d like to learn more, and I’m happy to put in a good word on behalf of my bloggers.

I’m not really sure what it is, why I have it, or how it will improve my life, but I’m now on Twitter. If you’d like to follow me and see if I overcome my paralyzing fear of technology and social media and actually tweet, click on this: https://twitter.com#!/tmfroger

Finally, the FoolHQ team is starting to plan blogger pages, providing you more than just an aggregation of your posts. For example, the sports blogging site BleacherReport.com (as exemplified by this random blogger) has statistics, badges, favorites, and more. As we envision the Fool’s blogger pages, we’d love to get your feedback about what you’d like to share with your loyal readers. Send your thoughts to blog@fool.com and we’ll add them to the conversation.

Hope everyone’s blogging well. As always, if you are having any trouble with your experience, don’t hesitate to email us (blog@fool.com) and we’ll be happy to help you out.

Fool on!

Roger
